Welcome
to our home town. Lansing is a beautiful place full of smiling,
friendly faces. Located in the Appalachian Mountains in rural
northwestern Ashe County, North Carolina, Lansing is a growing
community of tightly knit neighbors and a wonderful place to just
relax, take things a little slower, and to get away from the hectic
life of the big cities.

Lansing's
classic small town setting is enhanced by the surrounding rolling hills
and the stunning natural beauty of Pheonix Mountain (elevation 4,170
feet) in the background, as well as the homes dotting the narrow, tree
lined streets behind downtown.
We have shops such as Main Street Discount
which attract people from all over, and the Liars Bench, a charming
shop that offers artwork, antiques, and hand made crafts by local
artisens for sale.
Located just
miles from White Top Virginia the area is a wonderful place to visit if
you are interested in biking on the Virginia Creeper trail. The town of
Lansing has recently added a paved walking and bicycle trail that
follows the path of the Virginia Creeper train. Lansing is just
fourty-five minutes from Boone, less than an hour from Mountain City,
TN, and Abingdon, VA.
We have festivals year round for all ages and interests including the annual Ola Belle Reed Festival, a weekend of fun and music celebrating the life of an amazing musician.
If
you would like to come visit, or are just passing through, we would
love it if you stopped and saw what this great town has to offer!
Thanks for looking, and feel free to take some time and explore the
site. Be sure and check the blog often for news and announcements about
upcoming events!
